Description
Used in dental osteotomy for shaping and condensing bone, typically when performing a dental implant surgical procedure. The dentist can use a surgical mallet to manually impart an impacting force to the proximal end of the instrument. It can have a straight or bayonet-shaped handle and a pointed, round or concave tip at the distal end, which may be marked with various graduations according to different dephts. Used for ridge expansion, bone condensiation and sinus floor elevation procedures.
